The daughter’s appearance was soley based on what the client told us before we took on his project.
He commented that the children of the clients often want to help out but don’t have the time to do so. They have their own family or their own career which makes it next to impossible to juggle that with checking up on their parents several times a day.
This is why I set her outfit to a darker brown-ish colour which is a two part. A more serious look to her an uppity nose. Perhaps she works in finance or administration, we don’t know. What we do know is that she lacks the time due to her own busy life.
Her appearance I tried to keep as close to what we decided on as a group during one of our first meetings.
Next to her mother, she was in her design much taller, with wide hips and a thin torso.
Unlike her mother she doesn’t have the pink hairdye yet, but the rose like curls are present either way.
Just like with the main character, I seperated the daughter in several parts so if she had to be adjusted, I could do so easily.
The feedback from my group was positive, they liked how the mother turned out and how the daughter was portrayed aswell.
Feedback from my lecturer was positive regarding the mother, she seemed cute and to have the ideal traits that we often view elderly women with. The lecturer was not as positive about the daughter, stating that the hips might be too wide and the nose too long. She also could not relate the mother to the daughter as family. And so I’ve adjusted the size from the daughter somewhat and toned down the shapes a bit.
